The Bike Shed have 4 locations throughout Devon and stock a wide range of bikes and accessories with workshops in all stores for services and repairs. We stock electric, road, mountain, hybrid, kids, and folding bikes.

We began back in 1994 with the Crediton Bike Shed on the town square, the volume of business necessitated a move to the current, much larger premises allowing us to more than quadruple our stockholding, and to successfully instigate and coordinate many events within the Devon area.

The acquisition of the Barnstaple Bike Shed widened our customer base significantly and enabled us to expand our range of products and services even further throughout the Devon area.

In 1998 we opened in Exeter with the purchase of Freewheel. In 1999 we moved to our large 2 story premises in Fore Street as The Bike Shed.

2021 saw our latest store open its doors. Our Exeter Outta-Town store is conveniently located just off the M5 motorway. This large two-storey building will initially have a focus on electric bikes but will later have a cafe, workshop and dedicated bike-fit area.
